I used to use my 2nd Life profile to express my thoughts and views on various aspects of 2nd Life and my presence there. What follows is the information that used to be in my profile, some of which I have expanded. 

Alternate Avatars:

If you are hiding behind an ALT and cannot be honest about it, look elsewhere. I have been on both sides of that fence. My time is too valuable to waste on people who cannot be honest about who or what they are.

Do not get me wrong… There is a time and place for ALTs. From a fresh start to having a business in 2nd Life, there are valid reasons for a person to have an ALT. That said… Hiding behind an ALT to “play” or to “cheat” or to “harass” others is not acceptable.

And yes… It is very easy to tell that an avatar is an ALT or at the very least not one’s main avatar. Old creation date or young… Attention to detail and tricked out… No payment information on file or used… 2nd Life only with no voice… All these are traits of an ALT. When these traits are combined and most, if not all, are present, that screams ALT. 

Voice:

Voice is no longer an option. It is a requirement. I am sick and tired of the liars and game players!! If you have nothing to hide, voice should not be an issue for you, even if it is only a friendly chat to say hello.

Even though voice is required, I am not a fan of public voice. That space tends to be populated by idiots and morons that just love to hear themselves talk or feel the need to be a 2nd Life personality. Worse… That space is often filled with heavy voice breathers and people that think everyone is interested in hearing their dysfunctional 1st Life live.

Age:

I am age verified. Please be age verified also. I personally think Linden Labs has handled the age verification process badly, but it is what it is. Be age verified and be able to participate in 2nd Life as an adult.

Titles:

I do not need a stupid Dom or Master title over my head to know who and what I am. Labeling property as such is one thing. Any Dom or Domme that feels the need to scream… look at me… look at me… is at best an idiot. Be a strong and confident Dominant, not some 2nd Life moron!!

Owned:

I do not play with or dominate owned property. It is that simple!! If you are owned property, do not contact me unless you are interested in one of the following: 1) just saying hello or 2) interested in “friendly” lifestyle chat.

Logs:

I log and keep all communications. I log my public chat. I log my instant messages. I save all notecards. I have the ability to log voice and webcam sessions. Nothing is ever deleted and I archive all communications listed above, along with all my email, in 1st Life on redundant hard drives.

If the above statements are not clear enough concerning how I handle the logging of my communications, let me further state the following:

According to Linden Labs, disclosure of logs without prior consent is a violation of the Community Standards, the Privacy Policies, and the Terms of Service.

As such, I am clearly stating to you having read or not having read these statements, you consent to being logged in any and all forms of communication, including but not limited to the forums detailed and discussed here and that those logs can be used at my discretion without any further notice beyond these statements.

Furthermore… Graphical renderings, voice and webcam sessions, all public text chat, all instant messages, and all emails are subject to logging at any given time and may be used at my discretion unless explicitly instructed by the individual(s) beforehand to not disclose the contents of the logs.

All matters and interactions between the customers and patrons of 2nd Life conducted in plain view of a non-participating third parties are considered public matters, even if conducted in a private location within 2nd Life and are therefore not subject to the privacy regulations detailed in the Privacy Policy and Community Standards. 

Viewers:

I am more than aware of the features of 3rd party, opensource viewers, like the Emeral Viewer. If I am using one, please note I am more than aware of its features, especially the ones concerning security and privacy.

Friends List:

I am not a fan of keeping lengthy friends list. My friends list is reserved for a very, very small list of “real” friends. Out of connivence, I may add people. If added, do not be surprised though if you find yourself removed at some point. Nothing personal, it is just my preference.  

Personal Security:

Regardless of the viewer I am using, I always wear a personal radar and avatar tracker. I like knowing who is round me and who is online.

Land Security:

All of my properties, both sims and individual lots, have global tracking and security systems controlled by a remote HUD. All visitor traffic is monitored and watched in real time as well as recorded in logs. I like my 2nd Life privacy and I protect and guard it.
